Emily Carlson.

LANCASTER - Emily Elizabeth Carlson, 26, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester after a lengthy illness.

She is survived by her parents, L. Peter Carlson and Margaret L. (Reid) Carlson of Lancaster; her brother, Andrew R. Carlson of Lancaster; and her paternal grandparents, Lloyd P. and Jane (Dowd) Carlson Sr. of Lancaster.

Ms. Carlson was born in Concord on Feb. 14, 1983, and was a lifelong resident of Lancaster. She graduated from Nashoba Regional High School in Lancaster in 2001 and had attended Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Lancaster. She had attended Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp and was a member of the Next Step Organization. Ms. Carlson had volunteered at UMass Memorial Medical Center-University Campus in Worcester for the past few years. She also had volunteered for Meals on Wheels and at the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.

A funeral Mass was held on Monday, Nov. 9, in Immaculate Conception Church, 672 Main St., Lancaster. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, 555 Long Wharf Drive, New Haven, CT 06511.
