Emeril's classics red wine. (Wine Notes).
Bam! Bam! Baaaaaam! Sorry, but we had to say it. Emeril Lagasse's (aka Fetzer's) new wines have been officially released, and we just tasted 'em.
Our cheese-a-meter practically went off the charts when we saw how the sample bottles were packaged: They arrived in a white cardboard gift box with "Emeril-ese" slogans printed all over it, as in: "We're not building a rocketship here!" and "Kick it up a notch!" In spite of the fromage factor, we have to admit that the Emeril's[TM] Classics Red Wine (S12.99)--a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Syrah--was pretty good for the price, though it could use a little notch-kicking in the fruit department. Try it with a side of pork fat, and remember: "This is nor rocket science!"
