Emerging Technologies Conference at MIT Highlights Innovation That Will Impact the World.
The conference brings together world-renowned innovators and leaders to examine the transformative technological innovations destined to better people's lives and fuel economic growth. The unique mix of keynote speakers, panelists and presenters includes Jeffrey P. Bezos, founder and chief executive officer of Amazon.com; Roger McNamee, cofounder and managing director of Elevation Partners; Jonathan Miller, chairman and chief executive officer of AOL LLC; and Phillip A. Sharp, Ph.D., Nobel Laureate, MIT professor and pioneer of RNA interference.
"The Emerging Technologies Conference features programming of the highest caliber- that only Technology Review can deliver," says Jason Pontin, the magazine's editor and publisher. "The event is customized for strategic thinkers and those who are passionate about technology," he adds.
The conference also introduces the annual TR35 - Technology Review's selection of the top 35 young innovators under 35 years old. These young innovators, who are launching new businesses and creating new industries, are the leaders of the 21st century. Larry Page and Sergey Brin, co-founders of Google; Jonathan Ive, Apple Computer designer of the iMac; and Stewart Butterfield, founder of Flickr (now part of Yahoo) are among past recipients.
The accompanying Emerging Technologies Showcase is an exhibit area on the MIT Campus that allows sponsor organizations to demonstrate new technologies during the two-day conference. This showcase includes the next generation of technologies on display plus prototypes, designs and interactive experiences.
Amazon Web Services and Motorola are Premier Sponsors; Charles River Ventures is the TR35 Sponsor, and the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX) is an Innovation Partner.
A full range of TRETC sponsorships gives underwriters great exposure and enables them to create relationships with the high-level executives in attendance. Sponsorship-package details can be obtained from Vincent Caprio, 203-733-1949, firstname.lastname@example.org, or Kathleen Kennedy, 617-475-8008, email@example.com.
