Emergency shutdown of CNG stations on Friday, no shut down on Saturday.

KARACHI -- Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced an emergency shutdown of CNG stations in whole region of Sindh on Friday (October 11).

The decision has been taken due to sudden short supply of about 30 mmcf gas from Zamzama Gas Field. Another gas field, Kunnar Passaki, which brings around 120 mmcf gas daily to SSGC's network has also gone on shutdown for annual maintenance from Wednesday, said a SSGC release here on Thursday.

This aggregate short supply of about 150 mmcf daily in SSGC network has resulted in depletion of line pack causing low pressure in the system.

In compliance with the sector-wise priority order for gas load management, all CNG stations in Sindh would remain closed from 8 A.M. on Friday till 8 A.M. on Saturday.

However, according to the revised schedule, issued by SSGC, there will be no gas holiday for CNG stations on Saturday, October 12, 2013, as announced earlier.
