Embassy to hold free check-ups.

FREE medical check-ups will be offered at the Pakistan Embassy, in the Diplomatic Area, today.

They are available to members of the Pakistani community and the aim is to support those suffering from illnesses but unable to pay for their treatment.

"We will get their details and register them with us and in case of emergency, we can pay for their medicine and treatment in Bahrain," said embassy community welfare attachA Maqsood Qadir Shah, who is spearheading the initiative.

"We can also help them if they are low-income workers and unable to pay for their treatment.

"This is one of many ideas we are working on to reach out to our community members."

The check-ups are being held in collaboration with Bahrain Financing Company and KIMS.

For more information, contact the embassy on 17244113.
