Elsevier names new editor-in-chief of Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice.

Elsevier, a provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, has named Professor Antonio Ceriello, MD, as the new editor-in-chief of Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice (DRCP), the official journal of IDF, published by the company, it was announced on Thursday.

With effect from 1 July 2016, Professor Ceriello will succeed Professor Stephen Colagiuri, MD.

Retiring Editor-in-Chief Professor Colagiuri said: "It has been an honour to serve as editor-in-chief of DRCP for the past eight years and to see the journal become the official journal of IDF and grow in reputation and impact. I would like to thank the many Associate Editors I have had the good fortune to work with and to welcome Professor Ceriello as the new editor-in-chief who I am sure will take the journal to a new level."
