NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-13 June 2003-Elopak to close factory in either Norway or Finland - report(C)1994-2003 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

The Norwegian packaging company Elopak has reportedly said that it was considering shutting down its factory at Roeyken, Norway, which would result in cutbacks of some 100 jobs.

The management of the company had reportedly told local newspaper Roeyken og Hurums Avis that the choice was between closing the Roeyken factory in Norway, or one in Finland.

If the factory in Finland would be closed, production at the Roeyken site would be expanded.

The news was provided by the online edition of the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten.
