Byline: Steve Sinovic

Boise Regional Realtors is expanding down the interstate in a merger with the Elmore County Board of Realtors.

Effective Jan. 9, BRR staff is handling administrative matters for ECRB's 65 members, including government affairs, advocacy efforts, market statistics and grant opportunities.

The newly merged organization will now operate as Boise Regional Realtors, according to a news release. It is the second such merger in a year. Last December, BRR announced that the Emmett Valley Association of Realtors in Gem County would be joining the trade group.

"Realtors in Elmore County are a close-knit group and it was important to us to find an association that helped us keep our roots in the community," said 2018 ECBR President Sonia Arciniega. "By merging with BRR, we can continue serving our neighbors while also expanding (our) educational opportunities and professional resources."

Boise Regional Realtors is the state's largest real estate trade association with 4,400 members.

"We are honored that the members of ECBR selected BRR as their association partner, recognizing the value we provide through our programming," said 2018 BRR President Gary Salisbury.

BRR's two wholly-owned subsidiaries are Intermountain MLS and the Realtors Community Foundation.
