Elmira's Cook no-hits Junction City.

ELMIRA - Alicia Cook threw a no-hitter with nine strikeouts, surrendering only a sixth-inning walk in pitching Elmira past Junction City 10-0 in a Sky-Em League softball game Tuesday.

The Falcons took a 9-0 lead after three innings of a game that was shortened to six innings by the 10-run rule.

Alicia Campbell was 2-for-4 with a double and a triple, four RBIs and two runs to pace Elmira, and Kasey Sconce was 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI.

It was the second shutout in two days for Cook, who beat Central with a one-hitter on Monday.

Marist 10, Pleasant Hill 0

Caley Peterson pitched a no-hitter with nine strikeouts in the No. 4-ranked Spartans' five-inning win over the visiting Billies.

Marist got off to a fast start by scoring six runs in the first inning, led by Athena Krupicka's bases-loaded triple. The Spartans also got two hits and three RBIs from Holly Onove and two hits and two RBIs from Morgan Koons.

Creswell 6, Cottage Grove 1

CRESWELL - Ashlee Taylor struck out 10 on her way to the complete game two-hitter, allowing only an unearned run in the seventh to lead the Bulldogs past the Lions.

Kim Winslow was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to lead Creswell's offense, and Haleigh Harrold added two hits.

Far West League

Douglas 6, Siuslaw 2

WINSTON - Brittnee DeWald and Cortney Mataya had two hits each, and Wendy Drake threw a three-hitter to lead the Trojans over the Vikings.

Wendy Huff had two hits to lead Siuslaw.

Reedsport 14, Coquille 4

COQUILLE - Trista Ungaro doubled and provided solid relief pitching to help the Braves beat the Devils.

Reedsport led 12-1 after three innings. Coquille rallied for three in the fourth, but Ungaro came on and closed out the win.

Brookings 14, Bandon 1

BROOKINGS - Lacey Gorman tossed a two-hitter with seven strikeouts and added two doubles and a pair of RBIs to help the Bruins beat the Tigers.

Rachel VanCleave had a two-run triple to key a six-run third inning for Brookings, and Maryssa Hargrove stroked one of her two doubles in a seven-run fourth.

South Umpqua 13, Myrtle Point 2

MYRTLE POINT - Alicia Graham pitched a complete game and Toni Duncan stroked a double to lead the Lancers past the Bobcats.

Myrtle Point got triples from Caitlin Zumwalt and McKenna Poresky.

Val-Co League

Newport 3, Toledo 0

NEWPORT - Shahna Ashard struck out 11 in a two-hitter and tripled to lead the top-ranked Cubs past the Boomers.

Blair Belloni led a six-hit Newport offense with three hits.

Yamhill-Carlton 3, Waldport 0

WALDPORT - Casandra Kuehnel pitched a two-hitter and struck out 13 to lead the Tigers past the Irish.

Arley Semon led Yamhill-Carlton with a double and two RBIs, and Robin Bansen added two singles and an RBI.

Trico League

Harrisburg 16, Oakridge 1

OAKRIDGE - The defending Class 2A state champion Eagles took advantage of 16 Warrior errors in the romp.

Harrisburg scored six runs in the third inning and added five in the fifth. Michelle Slaven led Oakridge with two hits.

Lowell 12, Central Linn 0

HALSEY - Aly Clark pitched a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk and collected a double, single and RBI at the plate to lead the Red Devils over the Cobras.

Clark lost a perfect game in the sixth inning. Jill Green led Lowell's 14-hit offense with three hits and two RBIs, and Jenny Webb added two hits and four stolen bases.
