Born and raised in Worcester to Beatrice (MacElroy) and Frederick J. Leland. She attended Worcester Public Schools, graduated from Loretto Academy in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada in 1943, and worked for The Reed and Prince Manufacturing Company. In 1950 she married her beloved late husband Robert L. Shore to whom she was married 60 years. Together they provided a loving home in Northborough where they raised three

daughters. She was a devoted wife and mother and also opened her home to provide daycare to many children throughout the years. Upon retiring she and Bob moved to Marco Island, FL during the winter months and continued summering in Kennebunkport, ME as they had for many years. She was a faithful member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Worcester, The Church of the Nativity in Northborough, St. Marks on Marco Island, FL, and presently St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Falmouth. She loved spending time on the beach collecting treasures from the sea and watching and feeding many species of birds in her yard. The Cardinal was her favorite. She was the most giving, compassionate and unselfish person one could ever hope to meet. As a dedicated friend to many throughout the years, she formed many wonderful relationships which have lasted a lifetime. A mother with wisdom beyond measure and a grandmother with more love for a child than most hearts could hold. She is survived by her three daughters, Carol Shore of Vineyard Haven, Sandy Ciciora and her husband Jeffrey of Oak Bluffs, Jennifer Smith of Beverly; her four grandchildren, Ashley, Molly, Ben, and Matthew; and her former son-in-law Dean Smith of Northboro.
