Elie elected new global chair.

CoreNet Global, the international association of corporate real estate professionals, announced the election of Jeffrey Elie as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the 7,500member association.

The announcement was made at the CoreNet Global Toronto Summit. Elie will succeed Leslie Whatley as CoreNet Global's new Chairperson. He is vice president of Real Estate and Facilities for Kaplan Inc. in New York City. Other officers who assumed their posts at the close of the Toronto Global Summit are Mark Golan, of Cisco System, Inc., chair-elect, and John Igoe, of SARES REGIS Group, treasurer.

Also elected to the Board of Directors are: David Harris, vice president, Sun Microsystems; Peter Holland, Chief Procurement Officer, The Hartford Company; Ron Zappile, President, United Technologies Realty.
