Elena off at Amber.

SCOTLAND'S Elena Baltacha continued her comeback from injury last night when she breezed into the semi-finals of the Incheon Women's Challenger event in Korea.

The 23-year-old made light work of her match against American Amber Liu, winning 6-4 6-2.

Baltacha, who was ranked 118th in the world in March 2005, has dropped out of the top 500 in the past year, largely due to injuries.

She was forced to miss Wimbledon and much of last season after undergoing surgery on a prolapsed disc, but came through qualifying to earn her place in the main draw in Incheon.

Her latest win followed victories over eighth seed Ayu-Fani Damayanti and Jeong-A Cho and sets up a clash with 19-year-old Korean Ye-Ra Lee.

VICTORY: Baltacha
