IN a home double header, a disappointing 6-0 defeat to Fishburn on Saturday was followed 24 hours later by a 5-4 triumph over Redcar Town B to earn the team their first win of the season.

Against Redcar, the visitors were 3-1 up at half-time, Eaglescliffe's only goal coming from Euan Riddle.

But in a thrilling second half, star man Riddle completed his hat-trick, only for Redcar to go 4-3 up.

Eaglescliffe debutante Owen Wathen then made it 4-4, complete with eye-catching goal celebration, before Adam Maroney - man of the match against Fishburn - clinched the points with a cross shot.

The U14s shared the spoils 3-3 against promotion rivals Mount Pleasant.

Rangers took the lead midway through from Josh Larkin.

Then, straight after a Max Baker penalty smacked against the crossbar, Rangers broke to go 2-1 up.

In the second half, big defender Jordan Gladman scored to make it 2-2.

With Eaglescliffe pushing on, they were again hit on the break by Rangers, only for a quality individual goal from Man of the Match Kingsley Behan to earn the home side a point.

The U10s travelled to Hartlepool to face Stranton B.

Eaglescliffe pressure paid off when, after great link-up play between John Eglinton and Sam Jarps, in-form Eglinton fired home for the only goal of the game.

Man of the Match was Owen Marron.

The U12s hosted table topping Middleton Rangers. Middleton took the lead but Eaglescliffe roared back after the break and could have equalised but for a great stop by the Middleton keeper following a shot from Reay.

Adam Irving was Man of the Match.
