Electronic engineering firm expands

Digital Engineering Inc. of Thunder Bay is building a new, larger headquarters.

The company will receive a contribution of $55,000 under the FedNor core industrial program to be put towards the construction of a 371.6-square-metre building and the purchase of computers, office equipment and furniture.

The total cost of the expansion is estimated at $270,000.

Digital Engineering's new premises will better accommodate its staff and overall operations. As a result of the expansion, four additional jobs will be created.

Digital Engineering Inc. designs and manufactures electronic monitoring and control systems for heavy industry.

The firm also designs and installs turn-key systems, system building hardware and software, and provides maintenance and repair services to industries in the pulp and paper, lumber, grain and mining sectors.
