Elantec Semiconductor Appoints Mohan Maheswaran Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Business Development.

MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 6, 2001

Elantec Semiconductor, Inc. (Nasdaq:ELNT), a leader in high performance analog integrated circuits, today announced the appointment of Mohan Maheswaran as the company's vice president of Corporate Strategy and Business Development reporting to Rich Beyer, the company's president and chief executive officer. Prior to joining Elantec, Mohan served as vice president of Marketing and Business Development at Allayer Communications, a company that was recently acquired by Broadcom. Previously, Mohan was vice president of Strategy for IBM Microelectronics, a $6B division of IBM. Prior to this, Mohan worked for Texas Instruments in the UK and then in Dallas. At Texas Instruments, Mohan held various management positions in marketing, sales and applications, both in Europe and North America. Prior to this, Mohan was a Mass Storage Project Manager at Hewlett-Packard and subsequent to this began his career as a Systems Design Engineer designing high bandwidth telecommunications equipment at Nortel. Maheswaran holds an MBA degree from Henley Executive Management College in the UK and a BSEE from Surrey University in the UK.
