Ejercito readies documents to prove innocence.
Senator Joseph Victor "JV" Ejercito said he is ready to present documents that will prove his innocence after he was included in 'Napolist' copy submitted by Secretary of Justice Leila De Lima to the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.
Ejercito told Manila Bulletin Online said he will confront the alleged P10 billion pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles when she appears again for the senate 'pork' hearing.
"If I have relationship with Napoles I'd be scared to face her from the start. Including me is ridiculous because I do not know her," Ejercito said adding that he would have not signed the Senate 'pork' report if he himself was part of the scam.
He urged the public not to believe the list as it has no documentary evidence to back it up.
"The burden of proof lies with them. This is just a list, no other documentary evidence," Ejercito said.
Ejercito said Senate Blue Ribbon Committee Chairman Teofisto Guingona III as well as the media should have waited for affidavits and other documentary evidences before presenting the "Napolists" to the public. He lamented that damages have been done to innocent people.
Earlier, Napoles has asked to have Ejercito's name removed from the list after it was revealed by former senator Panfilo Lacson.
Ejercito reiterated that he has no bad record when he entered politics.
