Eileen remberered.

THE name Eileen Bass will be known to thousands of musicians who learned to play instruments at Huddersfield Technical College School of Music.

Eileen, who died in June this year, aged 79, is remembered for her talents as a teacher and accompanist in a career that spanned more than three decades. And now her life is being celebrated with a concert at St Paul's Church in Armitage Bridge on Saturday, November 1, from 7pm.

The event is free and will feature works by Eileen's favourite composers - Mozart, Faure, Dvorak and Schubert.

Watch out next week for a feature | on her life and work.
