Eight more fall prey to Karachi violence.

KARACHI -- At least eight people, including a girl, have been killed in acts of violence in different areas of the city, officials said on Saturday.

According to police, tortured dead bodies of a boy and a girl were recovered from Ilyas Goth, Liaquatabad C-1 Area. Both were shot in the head. Police shifted their bodies to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities.

Another tortured dead body of a man was found near Nazimabad No 2.

Two men were also killed in a firing incident at Usmanabad.

In a separate incident of firing, a man was killed near Rizvia Society police station.

Earlier, two Rangers personnel were injured in a grenade attack in Lyari, one of the oldest areas of Karachi on late Friday night. The grenade attack was also followed by gun shots.

According to official, the attack took place at Badshahi chowk area of Lyari, injuring two Rangers personnel. Meanwhile, police has denied any damage in the attack.

The injured were shifted to a local hospital in Karachi while police and Rangers have cordoned off the area.
