Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi arrangements being finalized.

RAWALPINDI -- The arrangements to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) in a befitting manner and with religious fervor are being finalized in Rawalpindi district.

All the routes of the processions of Eid Milad-Un-Nabi will be cleaned properly while no person will be allowed to stand on roof tops of the buildings along the routes.

District Coordination Officer (DCO) Rawalpindi, Saqib Zafar has directed all the departments concerned to make coordinated efforts and all arrangements should be completed in time. He also directed to set up control rooms at tehsil headquarter level to monitor day long activities to avoid any untoward incident.

The drum beating and music playing would be banned and all the instructions would be implemented in letter and spirit so that Eid Milad-Un-Nabi processions reach the destination in a peaceful manner.

The DCO has directed the Tehsil Administration Officers (TMOs) to remove posters of films and dramas from the routes of the processions in view of the sanctity of the day.

All the participants of the processions would be passed through walkthrough gates and special branch would check Sabeels.

The water tankers of WASA and ambulances of Health Department equipped with necessary medicines, doctors and paramedical staff, police officials, volunteers of civil defence would accompany the processions.

Close circuit television cameras would also be installed on the routes while all type of traffic would be closed on the routes of central procession.

Meanwhile, Rawalpindi police will make foolproof security arrangements like Ashura. The City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi has also directed all the police officials to be deployed fo Eid-Milad Un Nabi processions to perform their duties with dedication and commitment.
