Eid in Beirut: mourn the dead, cancel Haifa and Elissa concerts.

Elissa , Wael Kfoury and Haifa Wehbe were all lined up to play concerts over Eid al Adha weekend in the Lebanese capital but after lives were lost in the Beirut bombings, organizers decided a day of mourning would be more appropriate.

Concert agent, Michel Hayek, announced the cancellations this week, leaving the stage empty at the Venicia Hotel, where they were previously scheduled. Elissa and Wael were booked for the second day of the Muslim holiday weekend, with Haifa on for the first day . But all the stars were left eating humble pie after their gigs were shunned in favor of mourning the dead.
