Egypt : Minister of Irrigation participates in the conference "Sustainability of the Blue Economy" in the Kenyan capital Nairobi.
Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aati will participate in the fourth conference "Sustainability of the Blue Economy" held in Kenyan capital Nairobi from November 26 to 28, in the presence of several heads of state and government.
The conference aims to promote new technologies and innovations for the oceans, seas, lakes and rivers, and the challenges posed by these resources and the enormous opportunities they offer to mankind. The conference will discuss a number of themes related to sustainability, climate change, pollution control, production and growth. Rapid economic growth, transport and global communication, job creation and poverty eradication, "cities, tourist entertainment, blue economy, energy, mineral resources, sustainable development, marine life conservation, labor For climate protection ".
The Blue Economy serves as a catalyst for policy development, investment and innovation in support of food security, poverty reduction and the sustainable management of water resources.
On the sidelines of the conference, Dr. Mohammed met with several ministers and officials at the regional and international level. He also met with some Kenyan ministers. The meetings dealt with the activation of joint cooperation and follow-up of cooperation agreements and joint projects being implemented, as well as the position of the Maritime Corridor project and its importance in integration with the " "The development corridor linking East Africa to its west and the shipping corridor connecting the Mediterranean Sea and Lake Victoria. The meetings also agreed to exchange experiences in agriculture, irrigation, wastewater treatment and exchange of experiences in the local administration.
