Ego Rocks is having a real effect on young musicians.

EGO ROCKS have been trailblazing youth (and mature) drama and music in the city for some time now, they say that the proof of the pudding is in the eating.

Well, from last Saturday night's performances at The Quadrant Club, it's easy to see what a profound difference Ego Rocks have been making on our young Coventry artisans.

Four young bands, sharing personnel, kicking off with The Specialists, who are literally taking Coventry's 2-Tone heritage and superbly exposing it to the young dudes all gathered and singing along.

Breathtaking stuff.

Kougars With A K, Runny Hunny and Agents Of Kaos followed, all made you proud to come from Coventry (not forgetting DJ Lotek of course).

It's wrong to single out anyone, but Connor Nolan of The Specialists and Agents Of Kaos, is already the composite front-man.

One moment you see Terry Hall, next a touch of Bono and most bizarrely of all even a bit of Jello Biafra.
