Efforts to develop cruise tourism discussed.

EFFORTS to further develop cruise tourism in Bahrain were discussed at a meeting at the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) yesterday.

The meeting, headed by the BTEA chief executive Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa, was attended by stakeholders in the cruise industry.

"Developing the cruise sector in Bahrain will boost tourism and further position the kingdom as a destination for cruise ships," said Shaikh Khaled. An integral component of the strategy is to develop seaports to further attract yachts and cruise ships.
