Edward W. Hack, 93.
Born on Oct. 22, 1916 in Glens Falls he was the son of Wallace Jay and Ellen (Casey) Hack.
Edward was a WWII veteran. He was a first lieutentant in the U.S. Army and a Bronze Star recipient.
Edward retired from General Electric in 1971. He loved outdoor activities such as camping and fishing. He also enjoyed traveling to Florida to spend time with his friends.
Edward is predeceased by his wife, Eleanor G. (Rice) Hack; his parents; sisters, Agnes Campbell and Statia Hack; brothers, John and Francis Hack.
Survivors include a son, Wallace E. Hack of Northbourgh, Mass.; a grandson, Christopher M. Hack of North Andover, Mass.; and two nephews, John Hack of Hudson Falls and James Hack of Fort Edward.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009 at St. Mary's Church in Glens Falls. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery, South Glens Falls. Family and friends were invited to calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009 at the Singleton Healy Funeral Home, 407 Bay Road, Queensbury, N.Y.
