Education Minister congratulates Math Olympiad winners.

Manama, Apr.17 (BNA) Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi honoured the students who won at the 4th edition of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Mathematics Olympiad, recently held in Kuwait.

Kindergartens Director, Mathematics Olympiad coordinator Dr. Huda Al-Awadhi introduced the winners and participants to the minister who congratulated them on their good performance.

Dr. Al-Nuaimi stressed the importance of encouraging students to take part in external competitions so as to keep abreast on other countries' practices and hone their skills. Indian School Student Maheeb Mohammed Talaat clinched the silver medal. Bronze medals were also awarded to students Fatima Mohammed Aman (Khawla Secondary School for Girls), Anas Ahmed Fathi Zaidan (East Riffa Secondary School for Boys) and Mohammed Jaber Salman Dawed (Arabian Pearl Gulf School).
