Ecuador : CONATEL to execute Mobile Infrastructure Sharing contract.

Conatel, Ecuadorian telecommunications services regulator announces its anticipation for executing the regulations, which would ease infrastructure sharing between mobile telephony operators in the country.

In order to meet the optimizing operators' resources and increasing mobile coverage, regulator contrives to bring alterations to current mobile infrastructure legislation, for setting up the process by which operators can share infrastructure.

Further, for beefing up the launching of MVNOs in the local mobile telephony market, Conatel has set up new regulations.

As per the new regulations, the country's National Telecommunications Secretariat (Senatel) would be releasing the licenses for the provision of mobile telephony services from a MVNO scheme.
