Ecom@Africa platform launches.

(TAP) - The Ecom @ Africa platform was launched on Monday at the Tunis-Carthage International Airport, in the presence of Director General of the Universal Postal Union "UPU", Bishar Hussein.

The pilot project aims to further strengthen co-operation between the Tunisian Post and the Universal Postal Union "UPU" for the implementation of a Regional Hub for North Africa dedicated to the exchange of E-commerce-related postal items Ecom @ Africa.

The project will therefore promote Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise "MSMEs" at the national level through the implementation of a logistics system and a smart system of storage and distribution of postal items to serve the North Africa region.

The Ecom @ Africa project is an initiative of the UPU to help postal institutions develop e-commerce-related services.
