Eavesdropping system doesn't officially function in Kyrgyzstan -- Deputy Communications Minister.

The system for operational and investigative activities [SORM - eavesdropping/monitoring system] does not function officially in Kyrgyzstan. There is no regulatory framework and equipment for its functioning in the country, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Nurlan Bayaman said in an interview with Tazabek. "I think law enforcement agencies should have the possibility to locate perpetrators using technical devices on the basis of the court sanction," he said. However, not a single government agency should use surveillance system secretly from citizens, he added. "I am convinced protection of privacy is one of important tasks of the state. A private information should be one of the mostly secured information in any state. Each country should strive for this," Bayaman said.
