Over the past year or so, more than a few innovative Western airports have tapped big-time restaurateurs to upgrade their food options: LAX's new Tom Bradley International Terminal boasts Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken's Border Grill and Michael Voltaggio's ink.sack, and PDX has even added food carts to the menu (Pok Pok Wing and Koi Fusion). Now comes Phoenix's Sky Harbor. Terminal 4, home to Southwest and American Airlines, welcomes such local stars as La Grande Orange, Cartel Coffee Lab, Lo-Lo's Chicken and Waffles, Tammie Coe Cakes, and Sweet Republic ice cream. Bye-bye, McNuggets; hello, basil lime sorbet. skyharbor.com.
