Eastman names Dr. Dandekar general manager for inks. (Fresh Ink).

Eastman Resins, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Eastman Chemical Company, announced the appointment of Hemant Dandekar, Ph.D., as general manager for its global inks business.

Based in Pleasant Prairie, WI, Dr. Dandekar is responsible for the worldwide inks business and coordination of the global business team. He has also been leading a global team in development and implementation of a focused market strategy designed to enhance and sustain the industry leadership position for Lawter Graphic Arts Technologies.

Prior to his appointment, Dandekar was global director of product marketing and manager of strategy for Eastman's coatings, adhesives, specialty polymers and inks (CASPI) businesses. He also held management positions in the company's Digital Business Ventures organization and represented Eastman on the boards of companies such as Sequencia and Avantium.

Dr. Dandekar holds a bachelor of technology in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and doctorate in chemical engineering from University at Buffalo. He also has a master of business administration from GSB-Chicago.
