Martha Lindsey-Brooke Easley and Jason Hugh Nicholson were united in marriage on April 26, 2008, at a quarter past six in the evening at Huntington by the Sea in Destin, Florida.
The bride is the daughter of Justice and Mrs. Charles D. Easley Jr. of Caledonia and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Robinson of Caledonia. and Mr. and Mrs. Charles D. Easley Sr. of Houlka.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred D. Chappell and the late Raymond D. Nicholson of Caledonia. He is the grandson of Mrs. Janie M. Egger and the late Robert E. Egger of Caledonia, and Ms. Mildred D. Nicholson and the late Darl Nicholson of Columbus.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a sheath gown designed by Oleg Cassini. The cap-sleeved gown featured breathtaking beadwork over a layer of lace. Ribbon secured at the waist added an elegant detail and in lieu of a bouquet, the bride carried an antique parasol.
Ali Mara Easley attended her sister as maid of honor, while Laura Vernon served as matron of honor, and Karla Nicholson served as bridesmaid. The attendants were elegant in strapless, crinkle chiffon dresses, each carrying a single calla lily. The bride's niece. Madelyn Fowlkes, served as flower girl.
Collins Clark served as best man and groomsmen were Ashley Pounders and Chris Fowlkes. Dual ring bearers were Jay Vernon and Drew Pounders.
Following the ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a reception dinner at AJ's Seafood and Oyster Bar before setting sail on a cruise around the bay. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents honored the couple with a rehearsal dinner at Marina Cafe.
Following a honeymoon trip to Santorini and Athens, Greece, the couple is at home in Caledonia.
