TJFA Under-14 Div 4 Eaglescliffe Elementis......................... 3 Newton Aycliffe Youth......................... 1 THE eagerly-awaited clash between the top two saw Elementis take the three points.

Both teams began cautiously but after 15 minutes came the only goal of the first half. A surging run from Tom Young on the right culminated in a fantastic cross which found Jack Parkinson at the back post, and he made it 1-0. In the second half, Elementis started to create more openings and midway through were awarded a penalty, which Jason Elgie duly dispatched.

Five minutes later, Newton Aycliffe reduced the arrears from the spot but from the next Elementis attack, MOM Tom Young found space in the box and slotted home to secure the points.

TJFA Under-10 Div 3 Newton AycliffeYouth B ...................... 1 Eaglescliffe Elementis......................... 4 A HAT-TRICK from Zak Shutt helped the home team bag the points on a cold, wet day.

The visitors got off to a flyer and scored early, only for Shutt to reply with his first after nine minutes.

The visitors again began strongly after the break, but Elementis keeper Morgan Dovaston kept them at bay with some great saves.

It was 2-1 after 23 minutes when, after a Curtis Bartholomew corner and a scramble in the box, Shutt pounced.

Elementis were dominating now and on the 29th minute, Ethan Taylor made it 3-1 with a fine shot.

And just before the end, MOM Shutt went on a great run before completing his hat-trick.

TJFA Under-15 Div 5 Newton Aycliffe Youth......................... 1 Eaglescliffe Elementis......................... 1 ELEMENTIS started well against the table-toppers and could have taken the lead but for the woodwork and a goal-line clearance.

Yet it was the home team who edged in front when a long through ball caught the visitors' defence out.

Elementis started the second half well too, taking the game to Aycliffe, and were again unlucky in front of goal.

But they got a deserved equaliser midway through when Jacob Downing got on the end of a good cross to score.

Shortly after, Elementis again hit the woodwork and both teams had attempts cleared off the line.

With time running out, Elementis kept pushing but could not find that second goal. MOM was Jordan Azam.
