Eagle River Interactive's Mastering Computers Subsidiary Adds Microsoft Certification Training To Its Expanding Curriculum

AVON, Colo., Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Mastering Computers, the training subsidiary of Eagle River Interactive (Nasdaq: ERIV), today announced the debut of five new Microsoft Certification Prep Classes including Microsoft Internet/Intranet Server, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 95, Microsoft Exchange Server, and TCP/IP. These five new courses will deliver Microsoft's most popular certification courses to Mastering Computers' rapidly growing customer base.

"We've had incredible demand for Microsoft Certification training from our Fortune 500 customers," said Thomas Graunke, founder and President of Eagle River's Mastering Computers subsidiary. "More and more companies are requiring their employees to become certified on the latest software technology. Our four-day classes teach not only the academic information required to pass the exam, but also educate information technology professionals on real world troubleshooting techniques not found in the typical Microsoft Authorized Technical Education Center (ATEC) program. This is a big advantage to our customers."

These new workshops also capitalize on Eagle River's expertise in developing interactive solutions by integrating interactive computer-based training (CBT) in the form of a CD-ROM into the traditional leader-led courses. Upon course completion, each attendee receives an interactive CD-ROM that includes both the seminar content and certification pre-testing, allowing the course participant to test his or her knowledge level before taking the actual certification exam.

"This interactive CD-ROM gives our customers extra confidence in our training program," Mr. Graunke explained. "CBT gives you a big advantage. When mixed with traditional leader-led training, it maximizes the learning experience. With certification passing rates as low as 10 percent on some exams, this is an important value-added feature that our competitors don't offer. Due to the high demand we've already seen, we expect to conduct over 250 certification workshops next year, which would make us one of the largest certification trainers in the country."

As is standard with all Mastering Computers courses, attendees have a 100 percent money back guarantee if they aren't satisfied with a seminar. "We're not just satisfied with giving customers the information they expect. We want to blow them away by delivering world-class content in a fast-paced format that they can't get anywhere else," Mr. Graunke added. According to company-administered surveys of course participants, Mastering Computers has better than a 99 percent satisfaction rate on all seminars currently offered.
