FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- EZ Communications, Inc., announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase the assets of radio station KNCI-FM, Sacramento, Calif. from Nationwide Communications, Inc. of Columbus, Ohio. The purchase price was not disclosed.
This purchase will provide EZ with a second full-power FM station to operate in combination with KRAK AM-FM. EZ intends to sell KQBR-FM, which does not have a signal coverage area as large as KNCI-FM. Kalil and Company acted as broker in the transaction.
Under a joint sales agreement, EZ will begin marketing the station effective today, Oct. 4. The consummation of the acquisition is subject to certain conditions, including the sale of KQBR-FM, and obtaining various consents and the Federal Communication's approval of the transfer.
With the purchase of the Sacramento station and pending purchases of a Pittsburgh station and two St. Louis stations, EZ will own thirteen radio stations, including duopolies in St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Sacramento and Charlotte.
