FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- EZ Communications, Inc., announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase the assets of two St. Louis radio stations, KUSA-AM and KSD-FM, from Gannett Co. of Arlington, Va. The purchase price was not disclosed.
This purchase will provide EZ with a second FM station and an AM station to operate in combination with KYKY-FM. The operation of two FM's or AM's in the same geographic market, known as "duopoly," is allowable under changes in Federal Communications Commission rules made effective in 1992.

With the purchase of the St. Louis stations and a pending purchase of a Pittsburgh station, EZ will own 13 radio stations, including duopolies in St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Sacramento and Charlotte.
