EXTREDZ RECYCLED RUBBER PRODUCTS: ONE MAN'S GARBAGE IS ANOTHER MAN'S BAG....
BRAMPTON, Ontario, Aug. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- In only one year a Canadian inventor has developed over 35 new products made from reclaimed inner tubes that were previously destined for land fill sites. Tires and inner tubes are an enormous environmental problem and the development of these products is making inroads into the backlog of rubber waste. The products include briefcases, knapsacks, book bags, belts and purses. Most recently, the company has developed several new items that combine the usefulness and durability of the rubber with unusual design. These two new products include a fire log carrier to assist in transporting logs from the woodpile to the fireplace and three sizes of water bottle carriers that hold bottled water. The new products have really taken off in a big way since the rubber is an ideal material for these practical items. It has great durability and doesn't stain or tear which are excellent qualities for products exposed to heavy use and exposure to the elements. Sales have been brisk since the company's debut at the One-of-a-Kind Craft Show in Toronto where they won the Award for Innovation. Seeing as the products had instant appeal, the company quickly pursued export business and sales have expanded to Japan, Greece, and the United States. At trade shows in New York, Dallas and Toronto, many more countries expressed keen interest in EXTREDZ and more export business is expected in the upcoming months. "It is amazing how everyone is so concerned about the environment all over the world and people are really happy with what we are doing with the waste rubber," said Sawatsky, a 37 year old designer turned entrepreneur. The company is very excited about a new line of clothing including vests and skirts. Also in the works are several other highly functional new products that include a shoe bag and wine bottle tote.
