EXPRESS PERSONNEL SERVICES ANNOUNCES QUARTER-END SALES

 OKLAHOMA CITY, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- With sales up 27 percent over last year's second quarter, Express Personnel Services projects 1993 to be its best year ever, said Robert A. Funk, president and CEO.
 "We are heading into the strongest half of the year, and we are well on our way to reaching our sales target of $325 million," Funk said.
 Express' second quarter sales reached $70,442,881 -- a 27.2 percent increase from the 1992 second quarter. With more than 185 franchises in 33 American states, as well as four offices in Sweden and four locations in Russia, Express has placed over 16 million temporary hours for the first two quarters in 1993, an increase of 25.4 percent compared to 1992 figures.
 William H. Stoller, executive vice president and co-founder, said, "We are having an extraordinary year again this year. We were named by SUCCESS magazine as one of the top 15 business-to-business franchisors in the nation as well as being recognized for our notable increase in sales."
 According to Staffing Industry Report, a news and statistical resource for the temporary help and employment industry, Express Personnel Services -- up 26 percent -- showed the biggest sales increase over 1991 among all the United States staffing companies.
