EXECUTIVE TELECARD WILL PROVIDE A NEW INTERNATIONAL TELEPHONE SERVICE TO MASTERCARD CARDHOLDERS

 NANUET, N.Y., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Executive TeleCard, Ltd. ("TeleCard") (NASDAQ-NMS: EXTL; PHLX: XTL), today announced that it will enhance MasterCard Latin America/Caribbean credit cards with intra/intercountry calling features.
 The new MasterPhone(TM) Telephone Service will allow cardholders to place direct-dial calls within 47 countries and from those countries to virtually anywhere in the world. Operator-assist service will also be provided to place calls from over 60 countries to the United States and Canada. The new telephone services will be provided through an arrangement with Executive TeleCard, SA, a wholly owned subsidiary of Executive TeleCard, Ltd.
 MasterCard Latin America/Caribbean will launch the new service in May. The promotional campaign will begin immediately thereafter. MasterCard Latin America/Caribbean has over 13 million cardholders and is one of six MasterCard International regions.
 Executive TeleCard(TM), a global joint service provider of telecommunications, has developed an international direct-dial calling system that it markets as an enhancement to issuers of credit, charge and calling cards. Operator-assisted Call Home Direct service is also available to place calls to the United States and Canada. Proprietary turnkey calling card systems are marketed under revenue sharing arrangements to countries that wish to provide intra/intercountry calling features to an existing calling card or introduce a new international calling card.
 MasterCard International Incorporated is a not-for-profit association, formed by over 25,000 affiliated banks and financial institutions, issuers of 171.8 million cards accepted in over 10 million locations and over 80,000 MasterCard/CIRRUS(R) ATMs around the world. The MasterCard product line includes the MasterCard Card(R), Gold MasterCard(R), MasterCard BusinessCard(TM) and the Maestro(R) POS global on-line debit service.
