EVERYBODY WANTS SOME!! Cert 15, Running time 117mins ????? as exciting, energising and as much fun as freshers' week with Jake (played by Blake Jenner who, distractingly, is the spit of Blue Peter's Peter Duncan) neither a nerdy outsider nor a super-jock but smart and game. There's a lot of smut, unusually horny gals and scant characterisation of the female characters, which may prompt some lemon-faced accusers to accuse the movie of sexism.

After rewriting the coming-of-age drama rulebook with Boyhood, Richard Linklater redraws the boundaries of the frat-house comedy with a film that's sweet, honest and, most of all, richly enjoyable.

Jake is a teenager who joins a Texas university baseball team in 1980, which means moving into the players' digs and indulging in three days of drinking, drugging and attempting to get laid - and that's about it.

It's a two-hour smile, punctuated by plenty of chuckles and the odd guffaw. Everybody will love it.
