EVERGREEN SELECTS KEY VENDORS FOR POWERTREE LAUNCH
MCLEAN, Va., Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Evergreen Information

Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: EVRG), whose IPO was completed in September 1992, announced today that it has selected several key vendors for its PowerTree on-line information service, scheduled to go on-line in early 1993. PowerTree is planned to be the first interactive database containing most of the mandated information required to do business with the U.S. government.
Barry Nelsen, Evergreen's president, stated that Evergreen had selected Sprint as PowerTree's on-line telephone carrier, Informix as PowerTree's database management software and TextMachine as PowerTree's preprocessing software. Nelsen also announced that Evergreen had chosen Sequent Computers to supply the computer server to be used by Evergreen to store and process PowerTree's data.
Evergreen previously announced that it had signed non-exclusive licenses with four major industry associations, having 375,000 members/users with access to more than 16,000 standardization documents, to electronically distribute such documents on PowerTree. Evergreen anticipates multi-million dollar annual revenues from these licenses once PowerTree is operational.
Evergreen believes that it now has successfully established relationships with the core vendors whose services are critical to PowerTree's launch.
