EU expert commission intends to study migration policy of Kyrgyzstan.
The purpose of the visit is to study migration policy of Kyrgyzstan.
Meanwhile, the pilot project is aimed to share experiences and best practices in organizing labor migration. The project looks at improving information flow towards potential migrants on available legal migration channels with a view to promoting labor matching.
The Prague Process is a targeted migration dialogue policy process promoting migration partnerships among the countries of the European Union, Schengen Area, Eastern Partnership, Western Balkans, Central Asia, Russia and Turkey (50 participating states).
The 1st Ministerial Conference of the Prague Process held in Prague in April 2009 adopted the Joint Declaration as a common political framework identifying the following main areas of cooperation: preventing and fighting illegal migration; promoting readmission, voluntary return and sustainable reintegration; addressing legal migration and mobility with a special emphasis on labor migration; promoting integration of legally residing migrants in their host societies; and making migration and mobility positive forces for development.
