 ESTIMATED U.S. CAR/TRUCK OUTPUT FALLS 10.83 PERCENT BELOW 1990
 DETROIT, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- 1991 U.S. car and truck production ends this Saturday and estimated assembly for the year is 8,807,587, a drop of 10.8 percent below 1990, according to the trade paper Automotive News.
 U.S. estimated car production in 1991 is down 11.7 percent below 1990 and is the lowest since 1982 when 4,973,870 units were assembled.
 U.S. estimated truck production is down 9.5 percent below 1990 and is the lowest since 1984 when 3,146,356 trucks were assembled.
 This week's estimated car build in the United States is 120,392, down 4.7 percent below the previous week and up 30.0 percent above the year-ago week.
 U.S. truck production is estimated at 74,789 units this week, down 4.6 percent below the prior week and 101.6 percent above the year-ago week.
 U.S. estimated car production for 1991 is shared as follows: General Motors, 44.0 percent; Ford Motor Co., 21.6 percent; Chrysler Corp., 9.4 percent; Honda of America Manufacturing Inc., 8.4 percent; New United Motor Manufacturing Inc., 3.6 percent; Toyota Motor Manufacturing Inc., 3.5 percent; Mazda Motor Manufacturing (USA) Corp., 3.1 percent; Diamond-Star Motors, 2.8 percent; Nissan Motor Manufacturing Inc., 2.5 percent; and Subaru-Isuzu Automotive Inc., 1.1 percent.
