ESPRIT HOSTS REAL PEOPLE CASTING CALL

ESPRIT HOSTS REAL PEOPLE CASTING CALL
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Esprit is hosting a casting

call for real people to appear in their Spring 1993 catalog. In a fresh take on Esprit's real people tradition in advertising, the search is on for Bay Area people of all ages with a youthful perspective and a sense of fun.
The casting call takes place on Sept. 12 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Esprit Direct Store at 499 Illinois St. (at 16th) in San Francisco. All participants will be both photographed and recorded on video.
Esprit, one of the world's largest manufacturers of junior sportswear and children's clothing, began involving its customers in advertising with the 1985 "Real People" campaign. Esprit used employees and customers instead of professional models and revolutionized the fashion industry's advertising. The award-winning "What would you do?" campaign, which launched in August 1991, gave customers a vehicle to speak out on issues of importance to them as they answered the question, "If you could change the world, what would you do?"
