 ESPRIT ECO DESK RECOGNIZED BY NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS
 SAN FRANCISCO, June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The Esprit Eco Desk has been selected to receive a certificate of Environmental Achievement from Renew America, a national environmental organization based in Washington, D.C., it was today announced. The Esprit Eco Desk was chosen by leaders of the nation's environmental community for its success in protecting the environment, while serving as a model which can be replicated around the country.
 The Eco Desk is Esprit's community affairs department, responsible for environmental auditing, Esprit Corps volunteer and grantmaking program, Be Informed lecture series and corporate recycling program.
 "We are pleased to honor the Esprit Eco Desk," said Tina Hobson, executive director for Renew America. "This program sets a positive example that can help other communities meet similar environmental challenges."
 The Esprit Eco Desk will be listed in Renew America's 1992 Environmental Success Index, the most comprehensive guide to the nation's environmental programs. Updated annually with over 1,600 entries, the Index serves as a unique directory to our country's environmental solutions.
