ESG gets exclusive in Westchester, opens branch

Schulman Realty Group, a leading developer, owner and manager of suburban corporate office buildings and office parks in Westchester, has awarded the largest exclusive leasing assignment in the history of Westchester County to the Edward S. Gordon Company, Inc. (ESG). The announcement was made by Schulman Realty Group Chairman Lowell M. Schulman and ESG's President Edward S. Gordon.

ESG will serve as exclusive leasing agent for 3 million square feet of prime office space - accounting for approximately 10 per cent of the total Westchester office space market - in 24 prestigious buildings in the White Plains/Harrison area. ESG, which is headquartered in Manhattan, will open a new full-service brokerage office - its first in Westchester County - primarily to service the Schulman portfolio.

The new ESG office will be located at 925 Westchester Avenue, White Plains, adjacent to the soon-to-open Schulman properties marketing center - the first of its kind in Westchester. ESG will lease and market the properties and the portfolio; Schulman Realty will continue to manage and operate the portfolio, as they have since the company's inception in 1967.

Helene Saren, an ESG managing director and former head of the firm's Agency Department, will spearhead the Schulman leasing and marketing campaign for ESG. "We will package certain properties for special use, in response to specific tenant needs," she said.

Founded in 1967 by Lowell M. Schulman, Schulman Realty Group is the landlord to over 300 corporate tenants, many of which appear on the Fortune 1000 list.
