ESG brokers 40,000 sf renewal.

In a major leasing renegotiation and renewal negotiated by the Edward S. Gordon Company, Inc. (ESG),

Flack & Kurtz Consulting Engineers has renewed its 40,469-square-foot lease at 475 Fifth Avenue. Stephen B. Siegel, ESG's president, made the announcement.

The lease renegotiations, brokered by ESG's Philip Shapiro and Martin Turchin, and complicated by the building's falling into receivership mid-way through the process, will save the tenant more than $4 million over the term of its lease. Aggregate rental is in excess of $10 million.

One of the nation's largest engineering consulting firms, Flack & Kurtz has' been housed in the building since 1975. It will remain on the eighth, ninth and tenth floors of the building, which is located on the corner of 4lst Street.
