ES: The Estate Plan Analyzer.

ES: The Estate Plan Analyzer, Superior Software, Inc., 16055 Ventura Blvd., Suite 725, Encino, CA 91436.

ES provides accountants, lawyers, and other financial planners a method of analyzing various estate plan alternatives for their clients with the primary purpose of providing a plan that identifies ways to save taxes, liquidity requirements and the percent of an estate that will be transferred to heirs upon a death. Through menu-driven prompts, the user first enters the client's estate data. This data includes the value of each type of asset, the manner in which title to that asset is held, as well as deductions to the estate. The user can then create different scenarios by altering the program's assumptions, which include interest rate, year of first death, growth rate, number of years between deaths, and administrative costs. In addition, ES offers a summary of the amount of total dollars needed upon death-including burial costs, administrative costs and taxes due-so that the client can plan accordingly. A free demonstration disk of ES is available upon request.
