ERO, INC. REPORTS FIRST QUARTER RESULTS

MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill., April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- ERO, Inc. (NASDAQ: EROI) today reported sales results for the first quarter ended March 31, 1994 of $17,250,000, an increase of approximately three percent, compared to the prior sales of $16,773,000. Net income for the quarter was $102,000, or $0.01 per share a year ago.
Dr. Richard Ryan Jr., president and chief executive officer, stated, "We are pleased to report a sales increase for the first quarter compared to last year's first quarter. The increase in sales resulted from inclusion of the results of Priss Prints which was acquired in the second quarter of 1993 combined with a strong response to Mighty Morphins Power Rangers backpacks. However, sales of water Sports and Cooler products were less than last year. The recent acquisition of Impact had a negative effect of first quarter earnings (approximately $0.02 per share) since sales of Impact's back-to-school products are highly concentrated in the second and third quarters, while costs are incurred evenly throughout the year. We continue to be encouraged by the licenses for our products in 1994 and believe we are well positioned for the year."
ERO also reported the results of its 1994 Annual Meeting of Stockholders held today at the corporation's headquarters: (1) D.
