ERCIYAS completes large pipeline delivery.

ERCIYAS Steel Pipe Co. has finalized one of the world's biggest water transmission pipelines of 1.263 km (800 miles) in Algeria. The project, owned by Algerienne Des Eaux (ADE - Algerian Water Authority), started in 2008 for the potable water transfer to Tamanrasset from In'Salah of Algeria, key cities in The Great Sahara Desert of Algeria.

ADE commended ERCIYAS for finalizing the project on time (in 1.5 years) and with high quality production.

The project consisted of three lots, gathered by ERCIYAS, ZAKHEM International and COSIDER Canalisation of Algeria to form a consortium for the second lot. For the remaining two lots, ERCIYAS supplied the pipes to construction companies SINOPEC (China) and CGC (China).

ERCIYAS is celebrating its 20-years in production, not only as the leader in spiral welded steel pipe production, but also as the twenty-fifth exporter of Turkey. The company plans to increase its annual production capacity to 450.000 Mtons in the first quarter of 2011.
