EPA/SCDHEC MEETING ON FORMER SUNNYSIDE DUMP SITE TO BE HELD ON JANUARY 27, 1994

 ATLANTA, Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) will hold a public meeting on Thursday, January 27, 1994, regarding the former Sunnyside Dump site and the Elmore Waste Disposal Superfund site in Greer, S.C.
 The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium at Greer High School.
 During the meeting, SCDHEC officials will discuss the analysis results of samples collected in May and June 1993 from surface and subsurface soil, soil gas, surface water and groundwater. EPA officials will discuss the analysis results of surface soil samples collected in December 1993. Additionally, information will be presented regarding any further actions that may be taken. Also, the public will be briefed on the progress of the design of the groundwater pump-and-treat system for the nearby Elmore Superfund site.
